If querying Ethnicity there is an undercount in Discharge data for year 2016 and beyond due to several facilities not capturing Ethnicity. Overall ~9% of all discharges did not report Ethnicity. Generally, use caution when looking at any rates and numbers by Hispanic Ethnicity. Data prior to 2016 are either too unreliable or not available.
On 2/28/2023 figures were updated for years 2016-2021. This update increased the total count by ~100 each year (<0.5% of total records).
Due to evolving ICD10-CM standards, on 7/3/2025 figures were updated for years 2020-2023. This update increased the total state count by ~995 each year.
